Nice old fashioned family run diner. So many regulars you sometimes have to ask to get a menu because most people know exactly what they want.
Friendly workers, decent food at a good price
Owner, Tony, is very personable and came to our table and introduced himself. Food is great for the price. Friendly waitress, great service. I will definitely go back.
Great little breakfast spot. Good food, fun atmosphere.
This place is fantastic, good food, great staff.
Great breakfast and lunch. Try the scrapple sticks!
Family owned and operated. If you are in the norristown area it is a must go to place, and had been for almost 50 years!
Breakfast was decent. Good coffee! Great prices. I didn't try the sausage gravy, but I'll be back to. It looked perfect. Staff was fantastic.
A nice local joint where everyone treats you like family. It's filled with regulars which should tell you it's a great place! Cash only.
Amazing food! Friendly servers, and the owner is very nice :) our favorite place to have breakfast!
A little crowded, but good food.
Tony & the crew are fantastic and the food is great
The service at this restaurant was excellent and unbelievably fast. The food was great and you can tell it's a locals' restaurant. Everyone was friendly, great location, is easy to get to, & plenty of parking. Handicap accessible with tables and booths available.
Very good breakfast, in a nostalgic diner.
I visit this great spot a lot! This is my favorite place to grab a bite. I go to this spot routinely. The meals are excellent, the staff is helpful and the payment is good. I enjoy meeting in this place for a good lunch.
Classic decor, super friendly staff...and great breakfast and lunch choices. Noise level not bad at all for such a lively place. If you don't recognize something on the walls here... well, you may not have been born on this planet! Likely, Founder Tony himself will still stop by and chat with you and you will have a new friend from this planet. This is one of the rare places that lets you order a number of classic items in two sizes...Eggs Bennie and Chipped Beef (SOS)... and even the small is quite filling!Prices are very reasonable across the menu. Breakfast and lunch only. Likely you won't be hungry for dinner anyway.
Awesome place!! highly recommended
I just found Jems today, i sit down at the bar, the owner Tony comes right over introduces him self treats me like I was a long time customer. The service and the food was great. This is my new spot
My husband and i stopped for breakfast on the first Eagles game day. It was like stepping back into the fifties, in a good way. We loved our omelettes and homefries, I had a vanilla mike shake that was delish, the prices were very responsible and our waitress was a doll. We usually drive to the Collegeville diner but Jem is 10 minutes from our home. I give it 5 stars for food, people and distance from home, we’ve found a new best place for Sunday brunch.
I come here often for the homey atmosphere and fantastic food. It is only open for breakfast and lunch but have great choices for each. This place is also cash only so I always make sure to have cash when I go. But the food is fantastic and cheap. Jem is awesome!
Good food. Good service @ low prices.
Prices increased. Service decreased.
Nice, friendly diner - moreso geared towards regulars. Food was good, price was good, service was good. I like the ambiance/retro interior.
Great food always 👍👍💜💜
Great breakfast place. First time here and will definitely go back. Eggs Benedict was awesome.
Like mom's home cooking. Great classic diner with a 50s flair. Super nice family owned establishment.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. The only thing is that they only take cash, so be prepared for that.
Always excellent food and service been coming here since I was a baby and my first choice everytime for breakfast!! My fiance just moved here from Virginia and has found his new favorite old time breakfast spot as he would say "just like back home"
This is a cute retro diner. It is home of the original Scrapple stix which are very interesting and worth a try. You should try them dipped in egg or syrup! Food is delicious and fresh. The serving staff is attentive. It us good hearty diner food in a fun environment.
Very crowded and busy when I arrived. Once seated and ordered, my meal arrived very quickly and was delicious.
Good food, good crowd breakfast time, wonderful staff.
Love the warmth, friendly atmosphere the food and the nastolgic. Look
Clean, fairly priced, great family atmosphere
This place was awesome and welcoming! Its 1990s styled, and the place looks great. Awesome food. I ate the night bopper and it was an excellent choice, they cooked the potatoes to perfection, the eggs weren't that good for me though because I ordered scrambled (pick the eggs to be hard instead). The pancakes were pure heaven. 1000/10 I would go there till the end of time
Great experience here! The employees were nice and the food was delicious! I had pancakes with chocolate chips. Service was great and they enforced social distancing during this time. I would recommend to go here!
Jem's is the best place in town to have a great meal and visit with a friend. The staff is top notch in friendly, individualized service. I love this restaurant 😊
Food and service are good but the establishment can use some cleaning and organizing.
Service is not good. Prices are average it high. It is cash only and the food is nothing special. You can see the kitchen from the tables and it is not as clean as it should be.
CHICKEN SALAD ON RYE TOAST. Yum. Another great meal at East Norriton's own Jem Restaurant.
Excellent service and great food.
Good food, fast, friendly service, fun memorabilia throughout.
Cute storefront restaurant with a 1950's theme. Friendly homey atmosphere, good food, great prices. Breakfast and lunch only.
Old time feel, great food
Amazing food, great service. Great place for a family brunch.
Service was lovely and the majority of the food tasted good but the tomato tasted funny and both my significant other and I ended up sick after eating breakfast there. The only similar thing we ate was the tomato. Maybe we were just unlucky? Our neighbors love the place.
The staff is always friendly especially Lisa. Everybody goes out of their way here and the food is absolutely fantastic. The owners are really great people as well
We found this place while staying at the Hyatt hotel down the street. The food is really good, but they might not always get your order correct. They ignored my table after giving us drinks, not ordering for 20+ mins. I almost walked out. I am happy my boyfriend made us stay because the food was good. Also the place is really cute. I have been to a 1950's diner downtown Los Angeles. If only this place could have gotten my order correct it would probably be the closest thing to being at that dinner in LA.
Jem's is great, amazing breakfast and atmosphere. The owner is SO friendly!
Can't wait to go back!
Great as always different with disposal plates cups etc. But thank God for real silverware. Love everything I always get a carry out box when meal arrives. Pancakes will be my lunch. Love you guys. Hello Mr. Tony missed seeing you hope all is well.
